Veteran Niagara Police Officer Charged with Mischief

A 21-year member of the Niagara Regional Police force is facing a charge of mischief.

Police say they were contacted by a member of the public on Friday, April 14 about an incident in St. Catharines.

A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Sgt. David Bridel, who is out on bail and will appear in court next month.

While no details were provided by police, they did say Bridel was off-duty at the time of the alleged incident.
