Woman sells cheating ex-husband's £200 gift in brutal Gumtree ad

When you break up with someone, it's difficult to decide what to do with the gifts they've given you. Should you keep them, or will they just be a horrible reminder?

One woman has put a gift from her cheating ex-husband up for sale on Gumtree in an ad blasting him for his behaviour.

The Pandora charm bracelet has put up for sale for $350 (£200) by the woman based in Melbourne as she says "trinkets don't pay for betrayal".

She wrote on the site: "I'm selling the Pandora bracelet that my ex-husband thoughtfully put together for me while he lied to me throughout our marriage. It turns out that pretty trinkets don't pay for betrayal."

In the description of the charms that come with the item she rips into her ex-husband's behaviour during the relationship - and it seems well-deserved.

She describes the safety chain as "designed to keep the bracelet together better than our marriage", comparing the chick on the bracelet to "the babies he was trying to force me to have because he wanted babies before he was 30 and wouldn't entertain the discussion about what I wanted".

She wrote that he cheated on her in an ongoing way,  saying that the heart charm with a gold arrow symbolises “the pain in my heart when I found out about the lies. And then again, when I found out how long they’d been going on for”.

She compares the "limited edition" teddy bear charm to the "limited nature of his trustworthiness".

On another charm she notes was called "forever together" to which she wrote "apparently not".

It's going for $350 (£200)

In the product description she also implies that her ex-husband was violent, describing the time he threw a scotch glass in her direction because a man approached her.

Anyone wishing to purchase the bracelet can pay for it with cash or PayPal because "apparently tears of my enemy is not a legitimate payment type" - ouch.

Fortunately for the woman, she said that, like the bracelet, she is "very good conditio" now the relationship is over. Good for her.

The bracelet is still for sale, so if you'd like the relic of a broken marriage then this could be just the thing.
