Know These 5 Tips to Spend Your First Stay in Delhi

With the Pune to Delhi flight time taken into consideration, it can be understood that many people fly into Delhi every single day. Being the capital of India, Delhi offers a lot of facilities to the people.  From travel to business purposes, Delhi is filled with people from different backgrounds. If you are visiting Delhi for the first time, you might be worried about staying there safely. With the crime reports hitting the headlines every day, Delhi is surely a place where you should keep an eye out so that you can have a comfortable stay there. Thus, keep these 5 tips in mind to spend your first stay in Delhi comfortably.

  • Keep Your Belongings Safe: Once in Delhi, you will obviously want to roam around the city. In that case, it is evident that you will be carrying important things with you. As the problem of theft exists in Delhi, you must not carry your money in a single wallet. Distribute your cash and cards in every secret pocket on your clothing so that you can be relaxed while travelling. You must keep an eye out so that your laptop, tablet, mobile phone, and jewellery are in place. Carry the room keys with your when you go out of your hotel room. Do not leave your baggage around even when you have to go to the washroom. It is better not to trust strangers and ask them to take care of your things.
  • Keep Yourself Hydrated: Delhi is surrounded by land. Thus, it is very hot in summer and extremely cold in winter. If you are visiting Delhi in summer, ensure that you stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water and fruit juices, and wear light-coloured cotton clothes. Keep your face covered with a scarf or a handkerchief and wear your sunglasses. On the other hand, you should take warm woollen clothes with you in winter. You should even wear gloves if you have to travel at night because the temperature falls quite low.
  • Know How to Combat Pollution: Delhi is extremely polluted all the year round. Thus, if you are prone to asthma or other respiratory diseases, you must carry the first-aid kit with you. An inhaler can save you from sneezing or panting owing to the excessive dust and smoke. Thus, you must take precaution before it gets late.
  • Be Ready to Use the Public Transport:Delhi has an excellent public transport system that is both comfortable and convenient. When you visit Delhi, you should opt for the public transport instead of renting a car for travelling around the city. The Delhi Metro, public buses and auto rickshaws will be more than enough to save both time and money while travelling from one place to another in the city. Moreover, when you are travelling in a cab or a rented vehicle, do keep the GPS on and refer to the shortest route. This is because the drivers can confuse you and take you on a longer route to earn more money. Thus, if you can be cautious, travelling should be enjoyable.
  • Learn to Bargain Well: Not every one of you will walk into a shopping mall and buy branded stuff. Many people will want to visit the local markets and shop for their friends and family. Thus, if you intend to do so, you must learn to bargain. At least 40% to 50% price can be reduced by doing so.

Hence, if you keep these things in mind, you will surely be able to enjoy your first stay in Delhi. Thus, the Pune to Delhi flight time will keep you fresh enough because you will look forward to having a wonderful time there.
